It is a cycle of summer concerts of organ music in Lithuania started in 2003. They are a part of The Christopher Summer Festival. With a structure of “festivals within a festival”, it is the largest and one of the most impressive series of summer music events in Lithuania, that runs June to September. The cooperation of the music festivals organizers and performers with world-renowned musicians accelerates the acceptance of Lithuania’s musical culture and its political activities into the international realm.
In 2015, the cycle of summer concerts of organ music was renamed to The Kazickas Family Sacred Music Hours.

Since 1996, the Kazickas family has been supporting Kaunas University of Technology. The foundation’s support aims to encourage KTU students studying technological sciences to strive for high academic achievement, inspire Lithuanian schoolchildren to take an interest in information technologies, programming, and the exact and technological sciences, and motivate teachers to conduct research in these fields.

– The first concert in Miroslavas will take place on June 27th.
– The opening concert in Vilnius on July 1st – A hundred voices to mark the 100th anniversary of the Song Festival! The choirs Dainava and Dagilėlis invite you to this festive, uplifting opening concert of the cycle.
– A concert in Memoriam Mrs. Aleksandra and Dr. Juozas Kazickas on August 13th.
– A concert on September 6th will commemorate the 90th birthday of Professor Leopoldas Digrys.
– The closing concert on September 18th will feature a world premiere for organ and electronics – a piece by young Lithuanian composer Agnė Matulevičiūtė based on K. Donelaitis’ poem “The Seasons”.
We invite all music lovers to enjoy the concerts of the Kristupo festivalis, Sacred Music Hours series, generously presented by the KFF: www.kristupofestivalis.lt
